Chuck Benson - Stone Post Road (Incumbent)
Membership Status I am a member in good standing of the Millville Lake Protective Association (dues are current and paid in full) and I meet the requirements of Article V, section 2 of the By-laws.
Interest in serving the MLPA I am one of the original 3 Board Members who reinvigorated the MLPA organization, bringing it from 12 members to over 118, a bank account of $8,000 to over $500,000 and a real focus on improving the quality of the lake. When I became treasurer of the MLPA, the organization had lost its 501c3 designation, had not filed a tax return in over 10 years and was no longer an organization in good standing with the NH Charitable Trust Division and the Attorney General’s Office. I spearheaded the efforts to reinstate our 501c3 designation, filed all required back tax returns, and worked with the Attorney General’s Office to bring the MLPA back into good standing. While much has been done, there is more to do and I would like to continue to be part of those efforts.
Experiences, Interests, and Special Skills I am a retired partner from one of the Big 4 Accounting firms, a former CPA, management consultant with extensive accounting, financial management and project management experience. Currently, as treasurer of the MLPA, I file all the tax returns, state mandated reports, liaise with Salem High School for the MLPA scholarship, maintain our banking relationships, handle all the paper work for our participation in Charity Gaming (Chasers), maintain the MLPA Membership List.
Other Committees, Societies, and Associations In addition to my current responsibilities as the treasurer of the MLPA, I am also the treasurer of the Mt Cranmore Condominium Association and a Board Member of the NH Philharmonic Orchestra. In the past, I served on the Strategy Committee and Finance Strategy Committee for the Town of Lexington, MA and was the former Vice Chair of the Finance Committee in the Town of Billerica, MA

Linda Mele - Car Mar Lane (Incumbent)
Membership Status I am a member in good standing of the Millville Lake Protective Association (dues are current and paid in full) and I meet the requirements of Article V, section 2 of the By-laws.
Interest in serving the MLPA I have much history on the lake as my house is the same address as my grandfather's summer tent. I became part the present board years ago and now with new bylaws my term is up. I am very concerned with the environmental impact of human development on the lake and the tributaries that feed the lake. I think the Watershed Study that began last year is the first step in understanding what can be done. I would like to be part of implementing its management plan.
I have enjoyed this lake for my whole life and would like to preserve it for future generations.
Experiences, Interests, and Special Skills I was a 4th grade teacher at Lancaster School in Salem for 20 years. I try to break complicated topic down so a 10-year-old can understand. This skill may be helpful in implementing the Watershed Management Plan. I have gained knowledge of ecology by participating in the Lake Smart Program. I am interested in building community to protect our common resource- the lake.
Other Committees, Societies, and Associations MLPA VLAP Committee, MLPA Water Quality Committee,

Interest in serving the MLPA My walking route is along the lake (grove and field ave) and it's so beautiful. I bring the family to the swimming spot at Milleville Circle and we all enjoy it. If I can lend a hand to make sure the lake stays beautiful and safe, I'd be happy to help. I've met a few members at Peter's Bocce ball court and the ice cream social and every has been very nice!
Experiences, Interests, and Special Skills Interested in helping the lake any way I can. Would be nice to see the swimming spot freshen up/new picnic tables/some sand. I have experience on boards, as well as spearheading various initiatives and events.
Other Committees, Societies, and Associations Long time member and board member (Treasurer) at the Loyal Order of The Moose Lodge in North Reading. In September I'll become a member of the Elks in Salem NH.
